Really fun time practicing with some models.

Moving around and cropping to achieve success.

I had to run around in order to avoid people or include them at the perfect moment. Two examples at this crowded mission.

Rule of Thirds

Angles

You would not believe that by moving around and waiting for the right moment I was able to hide about 12 people walking around on the other side of this wall (Angles image), and one tall person behind the bell.

Models

Getting a kid for a moment to look at the camera can be tricky, but sometimes not paying attention to the camera composes a better image.

Timing is Everything

Kids are not the only time you must be quick, with 125th of a second for action shots or just when you finally got all the kids in the frame, with enough light the shutter speed can be set much faster in order to get the composition you are looking for. If timing isn’t your best friend then learn to set your cameras settings to adjust to the maximum frames per second. When you got that setting down then you can work on anticipating the shot and interacting with your subject.

Ambient Night

Love to shoot long exposures in dark places. This bar was the right place. Lots of people are just unaware of my camera and I love to see the camera interpret the white balance in a variety of directions.

Macro Photography

So I have always been interested in macro photography and abstracting objects so that many people can’t recognize them. These objects reminded me of  space images I’ve seen online.  The images are backlit and have a very shallow depth of field. These images are of two different objects and are not edited, except for cropping.
